HEALTH COUNTRY PLANNING FACILITATION
Anama Consulting supported Yayasan Konservasi Alam Nusantara (YKAN) in Berau Regency through the facilitation of a Healthy Country Planning Workshop and the strengthening of the Smart Patrol initiative. This engagement aimed to enhance integrated landscape management by aligning conservation priorities with community needs and local governance structures. The Healthy Country Planning Workshop brought together key stakeholders—including government agencies, local communities, and conservation actors—to collaboratively identify ecological and social priorities, define management objectives, and develop actionable plans for sustainable resource use.
In parallel, Anama contributed to the development and refinement of the Smart Patrol approach by supporting participatory monitoring systems and capacity building for local stakeholders. This included strengthening data collection practices, improving coordination among patrol teams, and ensuring that monitoring outputs could inform adaptive management decisions. Through a combination of facilitation, qualitative engagement, and institutional strengthening, Anama helped ensure that both the planning process and on-the-ground implementation were inclusive, evidence-based, and responsive to local environmental and social dynamics.
